SODRE Board backs Bocca

Still far from over, but definitely on the right track, it seems.

Uruguay's El Pais reports that in the past few hours, the institutional board of directors of SODRE which controls Uruguay's national ballet, symphony orchestra, choral group, and chamber orchestra has issued a formal, strong statement in support of Julio Bocca. The board, which is controlled by the Ministry of Culture who is responsible for resolving the issue, had this to say (per the Google translator):

The Board of Sodre, before the license application Master Julio Bocca, wishes to express its full support for the work that has been developing in front of the National Ballet, giving an extraordinary boost to our body stable.

Like all Uruguayans interested in the development of national art, especially dance, we are proud to have the Master 's work and we appreciate the commitment expressed in its statement released last Friday, both to the team BNS, as to this Council.

Our responsibility is to continue working so that all Sodre, officials, stable Bodies, Schools, its rooms, Archives, all services, reach the level of excellence you expect and deserve the Uruguayan public. And we trust that the Master Bocca accompany us in that purpose with the seriousness and brilliance that has been demonstrated so far.

BNS team will remain the same and the interim management will be headed by the Assistant Master of the Art Direction Sajac Sofia.
