Here we are again at Petco – where the pets go on a glistening Saturday morning in Manhattan. The item below seems to be creating a lot more human interest than dog interest. It must not really taste all that good – slow roasted or not.

hmm… where i’m from, pig’s ears are a delicacy. there used to be an american military base in one of our provinces. pigs were slaughtered and the heads were not used, so they were sold in the market. a lady bought them, boiled and chopped the pig’s ears and cheeks and seasoned them with vinegar, kalamansi juice, chopped onions and chicken liver and served them in hot plates, in her restaurant. it’s now popular in the whole country.
