The Royal New Zealand Ballet will bring its acclaimed new Stiefel/Kobborg production of Giselle to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion January 31 through February 2.
Okay, now we're waiting impatiently (really impatiently) for the expected New York area dates.

*sigh* No Bolshoi, no Mariinsky, no Paris Opera Ballet, no [fill in blank here] *sigh* The Orange County season is much worse, if that’s any consolation. Looks like a few trips to the Kennedy Center might be in order……
The “Romeo & Juliet” and “Giselle” look interesting, dunno about Matthew Bourne and “Sleeping Beauty” though. Any thoughts on the others?

Well, if we knew what the ABT tour schedule was maybe we could narrow it down – since Gillian would no doubt be dancing, right?

A light for a truly depressing ballet season in SoCal!! No ABT even 🙁

Rachel, I was kind of hoping to see RNZB here in September when there is a hole in their schedule and apparently not much on the calendar at City Center. Maybe we will luck out.

Henry, what is going on in LA?! How depressing for you folks.
Definitely save some funds for the Paul Taylor Dance Company. Their veteran, Michael Trusnovec, is one of the most powerfully theatrical dancers on the stage today. PTDC isn’t ballet, but you’ll see how ballet choreographers have stolen from Taylor’s genius. He is so important in the historical dance lineage of this country.
