NYCB has out-done itself with its slick new brochure that
covers the 2010-2011 season including fall, winter and spring sub-seasons. It's
almost like a souvenir program. The photography by Henry
Lautwyler (Esquire, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Fortune) includes full
page fashion-like portraits of the principal dancers – some dancing, but most
are just hanging out and looking gorgeous. The colors of the skin tones, hair
and backgrounds are exquisite.
Mr. Lautwyler certainly knows how to make the
most beautiful even more so. Go directly to page 28 – how long does it take
Tyler Angle to comb all of that silk on his chest to make it so – Haglund needs
to catch his breath – enticing? OMG10 !! Next go to page15 where
Sebastien Marcovici has his hands tightly around Janie Taylor's beige bustier
with white boning. The cover has Robert Fairchild, Amar Ramasar and Tyler Angle
heaving Tiler Peck up into the air – she is of course smiling at them. And page
8 is a portrait of Amar Ramasar who is so handsome he should be wearing a
Yankees uniform.
are impossible to resist. The opening night on September 14 which includes
Serenade, Grazioso and The Four Seasons has just two prices: $50 and $25. Unbelievable! Same
for the very final performance of the year which is the Dancers' Choice. Create
Your Own Series of just three performances over the entire season (Sept – June) and you
not only get discounts from $3-$25 per ticket, BUT your discount is applicable
to any additional purchase you make throughout the season! There appears to be
a $10 premium on single tickets for The Seven Deadly Sins – but it's still very
reasonable and it is, after all, Patti LuPone.
excuse for not piling up the tickets right away. Haglund is designing his own
Premiere/Revival Package.
