The Unofficial Information Exchange received word that two of Haglund's favorite ballerinas, Rebecca Krohn and Ana Sophia Scheller, have been promoted to Principal Dancers!
This is Rebecca's 13th year with the company and Ana's 8th year with the company. Both are so deserving, not just because their dancing has risen to an incredible level of artistry and skill, but because of the enormous importance of the contributions to the company over their tenures. The core audience has recognized these dancers as principals for a long time. This makes us very, very happy!
Congratulations!

I am so happy for Ana! Good thing that ABT didn’t keep her after her year witht he Studio Company. Funny how things work out sometime. Kinda wish mine hadn’t put all his eggs in one basket!!

Ana is both courageous and confident in her talent. Had she stayed at ABTII/ABT, she’d still be doing Peasant PdD while the inferior guest artists are shipped in to dance the lead roles. ABT had their chance with Ana and with Chase Finlay, but they blew it. And it turned out pretty good for all of us.
Ana will be a lovely Swan and Aurora in NYCB’s objectionable productions, and I will be there to see her.
