Haglund was sneaking a few beauty winks while riding home on the M57 crosstown bus last night when he was awakened by the purring of the MTA driver, “Last stop! E-e-everybody off!”
As soon as he stumbled off the bus, he realized that he wasn’t on 9th Avenue. Not 10th Avenue either. It wasn’t 11th. It wasn’t even the West Side Highway. It was the West Coast! Man-o-man, that M57 really flies when nobody’s looking.
So, what’s there to do around here?
Haglund has some time to kill before he hauls his ugly uninvited self to a christening. Pfssst.

Yes, I heard that some time ago. Who would be surprised if Hallberg ended up in a few Bolshoi performances over the summer – suddenly experiencing exactly the recovery he needed? It wouldn’t surprise me at all. The head of the Bolshoi Theater recently said in an interview that there was the possibility that Hallberg would return to the Bolshoi in March or April. You’ve got to wonder what is honestly going on with him.

I was very disheartened to see that they cast more Russian guest artists instead of giving one of their own dancer’s a shot. Don’t get me wrong I wasn’t surprised, but the importing still frustrates me. Also, Hallberg should just go ahead and leave for the Bolshoi and become a guest artist. It’s so obvious that ABT is no longer his priority anymore. Part of me can’t really blame him. He gets coaching there and is a part of a real company that champions its own dancers unlike ABT. Eagerly awaiting your review Haglund. Word on the Internet though says this production is a hit. Something we haven’t seen with ABT in a long time. I really hope they put in on DVD.

Tiffany, I don’t blame Hallberg for preferring time with the Bolshoi rather than ABT. I blame ABT. If the company put its resources where it should – with its own dancers and artistic coaches – then Hallberg might be happier staying at home.
