When Haglund saw the WireImage photos of Veronika in slinky black arriving at the David Letterman show, he thought, “Oh yeah, that’ll do. That’ll knock ‘em dead.” But when she strolled out on the stage in that magnificent teal dress, Haglund had to reach for the oxygen. What a stunning impact!
The film footage of Veronika as the hot, sexy Mercedes in Don Quixote could not have been a better set-up for her entrance as just about the most glamorous item ever to sit down next to old Dave.
When Veronika candidly suggested that the training in Russia was better when she was there than it is presently, Charlie Rose or Dick Cavett would have pounced. But the subject didn’t have enough fluffy entertainment value for Dave to explore.
All in all, it was a tremendous coup for Veronika, ABT and ballet to reach a nontraditional audience that can stay up late enough for four acts of Swan Lake!
. . . and that dress!

Thanks to James Wolcott over at Vanity Fair for identifying the dress designer as Christian Cota. The design for Veronika's dress appears to be part of Cota's Spring 2008 collection (photo #53).

she did look good in that dress…

Yep, sure did. But you could put her in a brown paper bag and she would still look sensational.
