ABT on Goldstar.com

Discounted tickets for The Bright Stream are available at Goldstar.com as is the July 4th matinee performance of Le Corsaire.  Prices for Orchestra seats at B.S. are $31-$52.50.  L.C. is strictly $45.  Haglund can't actually recommend Goldstar.com's service because he has never used it.  It doesn't appear that one knows what seats he has purchased until he picks up the tickets on the day of the performance – kind of a drawback.  And of course there is a "service" fee of $7 or $8.

The Bright Stream doesn't seem to be selling very well – not even with all the freaking guest dancers.  Wow, who wants to miss the opportunity for a big belly laugh – maybe even a wet your pants laugh – when Kobborg appears in a tutu with his head bandana and beard.  Gosh, how could anyone possibly think about missing something so uproariously funny and so worth yanking the performance opportunity from an ABT dancer?  Ohhh nooooooo!  It looks like Haglund will have to miss it because he will have a headache on that date.  [knock, knock]  Uh oh, someone's at the door.

"Oh, hi, Mr. Hands.  Would you like a ticket to Kobborg's performance––  Wait! Wait!  Mr. Hands, I didn't mean to insult you.  Stop, Mr. Hands.  Not my head, Mr. Hands!  Please stop, Mr. Hands!  Oh my head.  Ohhhh nooooooooo!"

"Mr. Sluggo told me to get rid of your headache."

ack- don’t even tell me that. our studio is going as a group & got the group discount $43 balcony seats (a whopping $2 savings. yahoo.) that i could sit in orch for the same price is kind of depressing! ah well, guess my daughter & i will be fighting over the good pair of binocs.
while i’m not seeing johann & 100% agree the role should have gone to an ABT dancer i still think he will be hilarious in it.
also, you are so weird πŸ˜‰

While I don’t know where the Goldstar seats are, if they are in the back of the orchestra, you’d still be in binoc territory. Balcony is better than a poor Orchestra seat for Bright Stream.
Yes, Haglund can be weird, but it’s a Mr. Bill World out there.

well, it looks like $52.50 for orchestra prime (or $45 for the wednes matinee) & $31.00 for rear orch. half price, not bad πŸ™‚ oh well.
