At Kirkland's International School of Classical Ballet, there is a 10-year-old student named Nikita Baryshnikov.
That's Kirkland, Washington.
The school is not related to her and the student is not related to him so says this article in the Kirkland Reporter that includes a picture of the young Baryshnikov, who originally hails from Wisconsin. Actually, the article says that there is no "known" relation.
It tickles, doesn't it?

With a last name of Baryshnikov even if it’s no relation, it pretty much imperative that you dance as opposed to say, play football. He’s cute!

The Kid should change his name for his own sanity.

Right, PCL – or he could become known as “Kirkland’s Baryshnikov” which conjures up – I don’t know what.

“..or he could become known as “Kirkland’s Baryshnikov” which conjures up – I don’t know what.” For me, it’s the futile regret for that legendary partnership–the would haves, could haves, should haves. (But he was too ‘Misha’ and she was too ‘Gelsey, and life…life happened, alas.)
