Thanks much to Jose who just dropped in the basket this tip that he found over on the Balletco forum. Sarah Lane will dance Odette/Odile with the Rome Opera Ballet which presents Patrice Bart's production of Swan Lake in December/January. Haglund sped over to the ROB website and observed that Sarah is listed as Odette/Odile along with Alessandra Amato, Anna Tsygankova, and Svetlana Zakharova. There are only three Prince Siegfrieds listed: David Hallberg, Vladimir Shishov, and Friedemann Vogel. It's kind of hard to tell who her partner might be, but now that we've got this on the H.H. Radar, we'll be sure to thoroughly scrutinize all blips that pop up on the screen.

Wonderful news, good for her! 🙂

*squee* What utterly marvelous news! I wonder which fantastic person(s) spotted Sarah’s great talent and made it possible. Perhaps David also chimed in with his vote of confidence..? 🙂 I don’t think D will be the one to partner her, though–he seems too tall for her.

This is deserved recognition for such a beautiful, accomplished dancer! What a wonderful opportunity. Thank you for the good news, Haglund!

Yes, she is so deserving. How great it would be if Cornejo could be her Siegfried there. Both dancers are tied up in NYC through Dec 22; but it certainly isn’t inconceivable that Cornejo could make the trip to Rome with her.
